Known for its occasional spectacular meteor storms every 33 years, the Leonids peak around November 17–18, offering a captivating celestial show best seen after midnight across the night sky.

Viewing Tips

  • Peak viewing is November 17–18, with activity from November 14–20.

  • Watch after midnight until dawn for the best chance to see meteors.

  • Find a dark spot with an open sky away from city lights.

  • Give your eyes about 30 minutes to adjust to the dark.

  • Bring a comfortable chair or blanket and be patient for the show.
